SUNDAY UPDATE

BIG WORKS

Just some mid-afternoon notes from the press box at Woodbine. SHILLELAGH SLEW scorched 4 furlongs in 46 1/5 this morning to get ready for next weekend's VIGIL STAKES.

Queen's Plate favourite TWILIGHT METEOR had an easy breeze at Keeneland in 51 over Polytrack.

Kentucky Derby hopefuls from the Todd Pletcher barn all worked - ANY GIVEN SATURDAY - 58 4/5, CIRCULAR QUAY 100 1/5, SCAT DADDY 100 4/5 and Oaks filly RAGS TO RICHES went 100 1/5

Top Canadian-bred WELCOME AGAIN worked at Keeneland in 101 4/5.

Trainer ROBERT TILLER won the DAILY DOUBLE with maiden filly YOLIE (Menifee-Domasca Bella, Domasca Dan), a Woodbine Oaks eligible and then the 2nd with stakes winning SPREAD THE NEWS (Cat's At Home-High Arch, Arch) in an allowance race over older horses. Both horses are owned by Frank DiGiulio Jr. and Tiller owns part of Spread the News.

Apprentice rider MATT MOORE won races on Saturday and today (the 3rd race) and is now a 5 pound bug instead of 10 pounds.
