NEITHER SNOW, NOR SLEET....

SmileyCentral.com

It will be a tough week for the track folks at Woodbine to try and get Polytrack usable for the last 5 days of the meeting.
Snow or freezing rain is predicted for several days and already the track has had 2 cancellations (including Sunday) in the last 11 days.
Sunday's feature, the ONTARIO LASSIE STAKES, go as it was on Wednesday night as race 7 although SHORT SHORTS has been scratched and she will race in the 4th event, an allowance race for 2yo fillies. SHORT SHORTS was listed as 15 to 1 on the morning line for the Lassie but is the 5 to 2 favourite for the allowance race.

Meanwhile, champion jockey EMMA JAYNE WILSON and her agent MIKE LUIDER are bound for Hong Kong for Wednesday's Jockey Challenge. Entries should be out soon.
Wilson is riding in New Orleans this winter.

Top Woodbine apprentice TYLER PIZARRO has not been riding anymore as he is sick and he is not named on horses for Wednesday night either.

TODD KABEL has hung up the tack for the year after weight struggles. He has not ridden since mid November

Voting has closed for the SOVEREIGN AWARDS.
The latest poll on THOROUGHBLOG shows LEONNATUS ANTEAS as a crushing winner for champion 3yo (21 to 9 votes)...last week, SEALY HILL was predicted by you to be HORSE OF THE YEAR.

Let's see what everyone thinks of OWNER OF THE YEAR...Vote at right (down below)
